The History of
 Â
444 U.S. Highway 117 S. Burgaw, NC 28425
When I returned to Burgaw in 1973, after seven years with Ford Motor Company, most of the dealerships around us were family-owned. Today, most are owned by large corporate groups. We have been able to survive and prosper for over 50 years thanks to our loyal customers and exceptional employees.
My wife of 60 years works as our accountant, my son, Hugh, has been our co-owner and general sales manager for over 30 years, and my grandson, Michael, has been with us for over 10 years. Outside of the family, we are fortunate to have many long-term employees with years of knowledge and experience under their belt.
We strive to create a positive environment and personal touch with each customer because we believe that a dealership shouldn't be a place where people dread spending time. We extend our sincerest thank you to our customers and the people who show up day after day to keep our dealership alive.
We look forward to serving all of you for many years to come.

Burgaw, NC was founded as a railroad town back in the 1850s. The Wilmington and Raleigh Railroad Company started construction on the railroad in 1836 and it was the longest railroad in the world when it was completed in 1840. The post office was called Burgaw Depot and you can still see the historic Burgaw Train Depot when you visit our community. It's been restored and is now an event center that's part of the Civil War Discovery Trails.
Other local hightlights include the W. Ross Harrell Memorial Park and the Bishop Rayford Hankins Memorial Park. The name of our friendly, welcoming town is derived from a group of Native Americans who lived in the area.
ÂWe have a comfortable lounge with Wi-Fi that you're welcome to relax in when you shop here or bring your vehicle in for service. Please make yourself at home and discover all we have to offer at Fairway Ford Inc in Burgaw, NC.
